First you need to prepare the apple pulp. I use fuju apples to make juice and use the leftover pulp for this recipe
If you don't want to do that, use 1/4 cup apple sauce and 2 diced apples
Add all ingredients except the apple and icing ingredients to a mixer and mix well
Add apples and combine
Heat frying oil to 325 degrees
Batter will be wet and sticky
Flatten a heaping 1/4 cup of batter into a disk shape and add to fryer
Add more to oil but don't overcrowd the fryer
Cook for a a minute each side or until a dark golden brown color
Internal temperature of the apple fritters should be 200 degrees
Remove from oil and place on a paper towel lined plate to cool
In a clean bowl, mix powdered sugar, heavy cream or milk, and vanilla
Dip the apple fritters in the icing and twist to coat the top
Allow icing to dry for an hour and enjoy!
