Frosted Flakes with Sourdough Discard

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Cornmeal
  • 1/2 Cup Sourdough discard
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • Water As needed
  • 2 Tbsp Powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, sourdough discard, and honey together
  • If it is too thick to easily spread thinly, add water
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Spread the cornmeal mixture as thin as possible on the baking sheet
  • Bake at 350 for 10 minutes
  • Remove baking sheet and tear apart the mixture. It will be like a sheet
  • Tear into bite size pieces
  • Reduce oven temperature to 275 degrees
  • Baking for 40 minutes to finish drying the flakes
  • They will seem a little soft still while warm
  • Lightly coat the flakes with powdered sugar
  • Allow to fully cool before storing in a jar
  • Eat with milk like any other cereal!
