One of my favorite things to make in our home is freezer meals
It is fun to find ways to make grocery store favorites at home
But better!
These pizza pockets have amazing flavor and you can add anything you want to them
This recipe is for pepperoni pizza pockets, but the options are only limited by your imagination!
Can you make pizza pockets in the air fryer?
It is more difficult to make pizza pockets in the air fryer but you definitely can
And they are better reheated in the air fryer than they are in the microwave
To make pizza pockets in the air fryer, just take out the tray with the holes and cook directly in the air fryer pan
If you put your pizza dough on the tray with holes, the dough will sink into the holes and make it difficult to cook
Or even ruin the pizza pocket
Cook the pizza pockets at 375 degrees for 8 minutes
Or until both sides are golden brown
Be careful when removing the pizza pockets because they will be very hot
What are the ingredients in a pizza pocket?
In store bought pizza pockets, there are a lot of ingredients and they change according to the brand
My pizza pockets have the same ingredients as my homemade pizza
Only they are perfect for in the car
My pizza pockets have flour, yeast, oil, salt, water, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni
Why is the bottom pizza dough soggy after cooking?
If your pizza pocket is soggy on the bottom after cooking them they are not done cooking
Depending on the pan you use, there may be more cook time required
I need to add 10 minutes or more to my cook time if I use cast iron without preheating it
Make sure your oven is holding temperature and cook until your pizza dough is a light or golden brown
