It is always nice to have convenience meals on hand

That is why I spend a couple of days a month making several convenience meals and freezing them

Once of the favorites in my household is microwave pizza

They are quick to make and freeze and faster to reheat and eat

Can you cook pizza in the microwave?

You cannot cook pizza in the microwave, but you can reheat pizza in the microwave

In order for the crust to work properly, you need to cook it in the oven or in an air fryer

Then you can freeze it for later

When you are ready to eat your pizza, all you need to do it microwave it for 1-2 minutes

Since it was fully cooked before freezing, you don’t have to worry about the crust not cooking right

We have not had an issue with the crust being soggy after microwaving either, but you can always reheat it in an air fryer if that concerns you

How do you microwave pizza perfectly?

The first and move important thing about making microwave pizza is that you need to freeze fully cooked pizza

Thr microwave will not cook pizza dough correctly

Once the fully cooked pizza is frozen, then all you need to do it microwave to reheat it

For the small pizzas that I do for microwave lunches, it takes about 1.5 minutes to microwave

Why is the pizza crust getting hard in the microwave?

Bread products get hard in the microwave when they dry out

If this is a problem for you, then put a damp towel or mama paper towel over the pizza before microwaving it

The steam from the towel will prevent the dough from drying out and getting hard

Ingredients:

Pizza dough (click for pizza crust recipe)

Pizza sauce (tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper)

Mozzarella cheese

Toppings of choice

Instructions:

You begin by making pizza just like every other pizza only in smaller portions

I usually get 3 microwave pizzas from the same dough as 1 regular pizza

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

Spread the dough out evenly until you are happy with the thickness

Top with pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings of choice

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until dough is fully cooked

Allow the pizzas to cook before wrapping then in foil or putting them in a freezer safe bag

Fully freeze overnight

When you are ready to eat one, remove the pizza from its packaging and place it on a microwave safe plate

Microwave on high for 1 minutes

Check if it is heating through

Add 30 seconds until fully heated
